Musings on Time

I have read this same comment by several bloggers that I try to follow - but where has January gone??? I feel like it was just Christmas and now it's a blink of the eye before we turn the calendar over to February. In fact, I'm even starting to see St. Patrick's Day stuff in the stores!!

Oh well, I do try to get in every single minute of stitching that I can. Which has an unfortunate affect on my blogging.

I've been concentrating mostly on a very overdue Christmas project. It's turned out to be much larger and more detailed than I imagined when I first started it. But I absolutely love it and it's perfect for the friend who will be the recipient! I'd love to post a picture and while I'm fairly sure she doesn't read blogs - I don't want to take that chance.

The other thing that's still a bit of a challenge is that I want to work on all 15 pieces that I started in early January. Now I know that's totally not practical, but that doesn't stop the fact that I'd still like to!

There really isn't significant progress to show on any specific project; but I have gotten the most done on the January Flip It by Lizzie Kate. So, I decided to go ahead and post a progress picture of that one. Maybe in another month, I'll have more progress on something else to show!

A little more to do on the tassle of the hat, one more dark blue row near the ribbing band and the background and block 1 of 3 will be complete. The pocket to the right is a thread winder pocket a dear friend made me for Christmas. However, the antique thread winder that's supposed to be in there has mysteriously wandered away to some unknown hiding place in my house! I know it will like it's new home once I've found it! The tin is a tin I received in an exchange I did with another group a year ago. It's a wonderful little "catch all" for anything needlework related!!

I wish all of you happy stitching and that the week ahead will be a safe and good one with a few minutes of relaxing stitching in there somewhere!

I can't imagine having 15 projects on the go...it would drive me crazy! I need more hours in the day with just a couple of projects waiting to be stitched! The Lizzie Kate design looks good, love her designs!

Your L*K is looking good. I love the little pocket your friend made you too.

Your Flip-It is cute. You need to get yourself into some type of rotation girl, or you'll never make progress on those 15 starts ;)
