I hadn't realized that it'd been a couple of weeks since I last blogged!
My current project is big and moving rather slowly so I don't really want to show pictures yet. But I thought I'd show pictures of things I did last year. I have a good friend who always does wonderful things for me and I love stitching things for her, even though she's a very accomplished stitcher herself.
I used scrap booking paper to do the base and the edge of the lid. I think fabric may have been easier, but also that a better glue would have worked better too. But I just love the paper that I picked out - a friend I ride the bus with suggested the buttons; aren't they a cute touch?
The box is sitting on top of a piece that I did as an EGA Group Correspondence course in Ukranian Openwork many years ago. It was another fun project to do!
The Jim Shore Santa to the left of the box was a Christmas gift from my friend a couple of years ago! Jim Shore is awesome and I love this Santa - some years I don't even put it away, it's so cute and fun to look at. The 12 days of Christmas "characters" are in the space from the open robe.
My current project won't get stitched on it's own so it's back to stitching for me! I hope to blog sooner.
Thank you for visiting and for your comments. I love the wisdom and friendship shared by each and every one of you who come look at my blog!
